Bernard, Eurasian Black Vulture
Bernard and Twinkle are our pair of Eurasian Black vultures and we’re very excited about the prospect of them breeding.
Palm-nut vultures get their name from their habitat of eating palm-nuts! They have a more varied diet than most and Neville is one of five at the Horstmann Trust.
Katherina, Hooded Vulture
Hooded vultures are critically endangered and face extinction within our lifetimes. Katherina is a great ambassador for this critically endangered species.
Kara is our most outgoing Egyptian vulture – and always the first to investigate the food! Egyptian vultures are endangered in the wild.
Harry is one of our three Cape vultures and the most sociable of the group. They’re found in southern Africa and face a range of threats in the wild.
Andean condors are one of the largest birds on the planet and can weigh up to 15kg. Pookie is one the condors who call Horstmann Trust home.
